I DigiPASS è lo spazio pubblico, ad accesso libero, in cui cittadini e imprese hanno la possibilità di fruire di servizi digitali. Il Digipass di Trevi è allestito all’interno del Complesso Museale di San Francesco e costituisce la sede territoriale del progetto attuato dai Comuni ricompresi nella zona sociale n. 8 di cui è capofila il Comune di Foligno, presso il cui territorio è allestita la sede centrale Digipass.

A brief history

Set on a spur of Mount Serano at 425 meters above sea level, Trevi is enclosed by intact Roman and medieval walls. Traces of its ancient, pre-Roman origins are easily seen in the surroundings. Pliny lists the Trebiates among the most ancient of Umbrian tribes. Its first bishop was Miliano of Armenia, later Emilianus, who was martyred in 304 under the emperor Diocletian.

Trevi was part of the Duchy of Spoleto. It became an independent Guelph municipality in the twelfth century and later came under the rule of Perugia. In 1214 it was destroyed by Duke Teopoldo of Spoleto. One of the very first Monti di Pietà, charity pawnbrokers, was founded here in 1469.

The first printing works in Umbria, the fourth in Italy, and the world's first printing company was founded in Trevi in 1470. In 1784 its title as a town was restored by Pope Pius VI due to the nobility of its most illustrious families and the splendid aristocratic palazzos built within its walls.
